How to grow taller:

If you're looking for some harmful liquids or pills, this article is not for you. Here, I'm giving you, few simple, but effective tips that you can use to "pull"/"add" and inch or two (to your height). Okay, here they are.

1.) Nutrition

Nutrition is important, as you've probably heard. Drinking milk provokes the human growth hormone. Drinking about 7-8 cups of water a day, stimulates the blood flow to function better thus, also, provoking the growth hormone. It's also vital that you don't eat big meal right before you go to bed. Just don't do that. Now, how old do you think you have to be in order to stop growing? Well, I'd say about 27-30. After that, it's very unlikely that you can gain inches.

2.) Stay upright in every situation

I have no evidence whatsoever to prove that this works, but I really believe it does. It's logical. I've heard it from other people, and it gives me enough reasons to post this tip here.

3.) Stretching

Aahh... We all know this one right. Getting into yoga, swimming, basketball is worthwhile. It'll help you for sure. If you are into basketball, you can start dunking. And when you go for the dunk, grab the rim and just hold on to it. Hang like that for 5-10 seconds. This one really works. I know a friend of mine who had 7-8 inch summer just by doing this. If you can dunk, you can lower the basket few inches just enough so that you can dunk. But don't lower it too much. Just enough so that you'll need to jump little higher than you normally do so that you can throw in the dunk. Again, this one goes along with the second tip.

I have a special section dedicated on growing taller on my basketball website and it's all free.

New Orleans Hornets Colorful Raschel 60x80 Blanket Throw - NBA Basketball

This is the softest, brightest, and plushest printed blanket on the planet! This luxurious throw can be used at the game, on a picnic, in the bedroom, or cuddle under it in the den while watching the game. These blankets are extra warm and have superior durability. They are easy to care for, and are machine washable and dryable.

We all hope that the Heat turn themselves up and take-off on a course to repeat as NBA champions. But, so far, the chances look questionable at best. As is always the case during a tumultuous season, it is helpful to have some good places to go after (or even before) the game to celebrate, lament, and speculate on the outcome of future matches. To that end, I submit to you some of the best places to go in the area around American Airlines Arena.

#1 Finnegans Too: The Finnegans on Ocean Drive is a lot busier, with a lot more tourists, and that makes Finnegans Too one of my favorite places to go prior to or after a Heat game. The selection of beers is decent, there are pool tables, and the drinks are stiff and none-too pricey. The low-key, generally low noise atmosphere makes it easier to talk about the game.

#2 Pogies Pizza: Only a half mile away from the AAA, Pogies is a nice, casual restaurant that has great food, good beer, and satellite TV. Its a great place to go when you want some decent food before or after a game, and dont want to pay the often-exorbitant stadium-food prices. Pogies also has some nice outdoor seating, which can be a welcome change to the arena atmosphere.

#3 Wesleys Sports Bar: Wesleys is a bit out of the way, but its a great place to go if youre in the mood to party after a game. Its really half-club, half-sports bar, and it does both admirably. Monday nights feature football, while Tuesdays feature music, often by local bands. Weekends at Wesleys see a DJ spinning hip-hop, and often a crowded dance floor. Its a great place to go to celebrate a big victory hopefully this year will see a few of those for the Heat.

Well, there you have it a smattering of choices (fairly) near American Airlines Arena. Root for the Heat, and dont go thirsty!

There are 3 myths about jumping higher that I want to clarify. I've been obsessed with my vertical leap for 5 years and I learned quite a lot in that process.

1.) Having a high vertical leap is a born advantage

A lot of people think that players like Michael Jordan or Vince Carter had the genetic advantage and they just had their way of jumping higher than anyone else. A lot of times people tend to watch someone like Dr. J and say: Ooh gosh, he is so lucky with that talent. And what people don't realize is that Dr. J went through hours and hours of training and sweat and dedication to reach that level. He said that himself.

2.) You should stop playing basketball when you're doing a "vertical jump program"

That's far from the truth. I mean, why would you? A lot of players often feel bad because they see that after practice their vertical has actually decreased. Well, that's totally normal. You're attacking a certain group of muscles and they get separated in this weird way. They get developed and as a result, temporarily can't "serve you as well. In fact, if you notice that your jump has decreased that means that you're doing it right.

3.) Get the hardest program out there

In basketball, as in everything else in life, you have to lay the foundation. You have to start small and build your way up. You have to start, for example with 20 calf raises, 20 seconds with a jump rope and so on. Build the foundation. Don't go after these crazy programs that are just so exhausting that might get you injured. They're for more advanced athletes and a lot of times, that's not the case with you.

Everyone needs a little happy in their lives. A little something each and every day to remind yourself that you are special and worthy and that life is good.

There's so many ways that you can do this, that it would be nearly impossible to mention them all. However, here's a few of my favorites.

Light A Candle

That's all, just light a candle. Light one when you come in after work, the pleasant aroma will help you relax and give the room a special light. Having candles on the table at dinner time automatically makes the mood more celebratory - it's peaceful, it's relaxing, and if you have kids, it makes them excited to get to blow them out! Excited kids can make anyone smile, and that's worth celebrating.

Have Dessert

You don't have to go crazy, here. No one needs to be eating birthday cake or an ice cream sundae every night of the week, but ending your day with something sweet is such a great way to make it a special ending. Keep some of your favorite chocolates in the cupboard and have a couple - and if chocolate or sweets aren't your thing, go for some fruit. Enjoy the taste, texture, color and smell. Really let your senses take over and you're *poof* in the middle of a celebration!

Turn On the Lights

String some twinkle lights outside and enjoy them after dark. It doesn't have to be Christmas, just a strand or two of white lights are understated enough yet lend a festive air to the back patio or deck. Sitting out under some tiny lights can lend an atmosphere of magic to your surroundings, and suddenly it's a party!

Turn Them Off, Instead!

Turn out the lights, for another kind of atmosphere. Light up your outdoor fireplace, grab a glass of wine (or bag of marshmallows depending on your company) and enjoy the beauty of the flames. Share stories of your life (or scary ones for the kids) and celebrate who you are. Invite those around you to do the same and you will find yourself automatically celebrating them!

Play Some Music

While you're outside enjoying life, bring out a radio or CD player. Put on your favorite tunes and really enjoy them. If you're in a dancing mood, get up and dance! Whether you're jumping around to the beat or swaying to the gentle melodies, dancing is an amazing way to celebrate just being alive. It's one of our oldest forms of self-expression, and one that we should all indulge in.

It doesn't matter what you do to celebrate life, just that you do it. By doing one or two small things each and every day, you'll find that you've brought more beauty, peace, happiness and celebration to your world and that's something that's worth getting excited about. So, kick back, kick up your heels, or cozy up in front of a fire and enjoy living.

fire pit. Kick back and enjoy a fire next to your new outdoor fire pit. Shop fire pits and chimineas. It's also great to exercise everyday, but it doesn't have to be something you dread. It can be as simple as shooting a few buckets on your outdoor basketball hoop. Or even better, go play a little 1 on 1 with your buddy on your new basketball hoop
